RESCUED DOG SHOWS SMILE OF GRATITUDE AFTER GETTING HIS VERY FIRST BED

This dog has lived the happiest day of his life. When he was going through his worst moments, he didn’t imagine that this occasion would come, but it did. After living all his life on the street, now he can’t believe he just got a bed, writes top13.

His name is Ezra, this sweet pup who could not contain his emotion when he received the comfortable bed where he would sleep from now on. A huge smile on his face revealed his joy.

He lived at the Fairfield County Animal Shelter after being rescued from the streets. His nervousness and fear were evident when he was taken off the street. With the help of the shelter staff, he was able to overcome his fear and choose a family. He did this by using a very specific technique.

“The hot dogs were the key to our relationship. We always had hot dogs when we passed by Ezra’s kennel. What started with throwing the hot dogs slowly became him gently taking them out of our hands,” Samira Yaghi, rescue coordinator at the shelter, told The Dodo.

From that moment on, his attitude began to improve. Ezra began to adjust to his new life in the shelter and prepare to get a new home. He was already allowing himself to be loved and 5 months after being rescued, he took his first walk.

“It’s been uphill ever since. He’s full of movement and bounces every time he sees us coming, eager to say ‘hello’ and eager to give us kisses,” Yaghi said.

In a donation the shelter received of several dog beds, Ezra noticed them and fell in love with one. When they went for one of their typical walks, he decided to lie down on one of the beds. He was in love with that bed and how he felt on it.

It was that smile of Ezra’s that gained him a family on social media. In New York, he is now settled after a short trip. With the addition of a new family, Ezra can now smile more often. He won’t lack for love anymore.
