The friendship between a disabled cow and a giant tortoise is adorable despite how unlikely they are to be friends

The enormous tortoise and the baby cow are an unlikely pair, yet their tumultuous lives have brought them together, and they have found safety and genuine companionship in one another.

Simon was a little calf in 2016. He had to amputate his leg when it became entangled in some vines. The Wildlife Friends Foundation Thailand saved him, took care of him, gave him a prosthetic leg, and took him to their animal sanctuary. However, despite losing his leg, Simon was about to make a new best buddy.

Simon wasn’t immediately prepared to join the other rescue-cows when he got to the sanctuary.Simon was put in a big cage by himself to give him some time to get over his stress and grow a little bigger. He wasn’t entirely alone, though.

An African spurred tortoise named Leonardo lost his home in 2013 when the zoo he was residing in closed.Leonardo, however, was saved by WFFT and brought to their refuge for animals where he began a brand-new and comfortable life.

Leonardo was simply going through his daily routine when he discovered that a new animal had moved into his area.

A baby cow with a prosthetic leg waltzed into Leonardo’s life, and his comfortable life at the sanctuary became even better.

Simon fell in love the moment he saw Leonardo. To the surprise of the staff at the sanctuary, the baby cow immediately developed a close relationship with the enormous tortoise.

Simon and Leonardo were frequently spotted eating together, sleeping together, and moving around together, according to the WFFT website.

The workers and the rest of the globe were delighted by their unanticipated friendship.

It draws attention to the close bond that true friends have and serves as a reminder that friendship is founded on inner traits rather than outward appearances or other insignificant characteristics.

As WFFT put it, “We hope this uncommon friendship continues to develop,” we can only agree.

Simon and Leonard make a beautiful pair and we wish them a long and happy life together.
