When veterinarians lost hope, a horse intervenes to save the life of a stablemate

There are 23 shire horses living on Donald and Jane’s farm in the United Kingdom, but just two of them are the main characters in this story: Beatrice, a 16-year-old mare, and Beau, an 11-year-old stallion, have shared a stable for a very long time. Due to increasingly intense abdomen pain, Beatrice collapsed on her stable. As time went on, she grew weaker.

It was a great risk of dying from organ failure. Donald, Jane, and the farmworkers tried all together to pull 1-ton mare to her feet, but it was impossible due to her heavyweight. Meanwhile, the blood pressure and heart rate were continuously going up. Everyone thought that there was nothing that they could do for Jane, hence she was scheduled to death but Jane’s best friend Beau would never let something like this happen.

Just 20 minutes before her death, Jane remembered that it was her responsibility to open the door for her younger stallion friend. Jane opened Beau’s door — but rather than walk toward the yard, he went right over to Beatrice, hung his neck over the wall and began biting her neck and using his teeth to pull up her head.

A few minutes later, Beatrice miraculously rolled over and stood up and since then, she only got better and now she is fully recovered. “We are used to seeing extraordinary interactions between the horses, but we have never witnessed a horse saving another’s life,” Jane told The Telegraph.

This definitely needs to be applauded. Have a look at the video below for more.
