A Golden-voiced Donkey Sings to the Man Who Always Brings Her Treats

An lovely donkey named Harriet was lounging in a field close to Martin Stanton’s home in Ireland when he was out for a walk with his camera. Stanton was immediately taken with Harriet and made the decision to introduce himself by giving her a present.

I love animals, Stanton said to The Dodo. “I spotted her, so I gave her carrots the following day.”

Since that first encounter, Stanton has made spending time with the donkey a regular thing. He’s even taken the time to meet Harriet’s owners, whom he describes as “really lovely people” who dote upon her, too.

However, the compassionate donkey just returned the favor by giving Stanton a memorable present. Harriet turns out to have a fairly sonorous singing voice, and she put on a show for Stanton as a thank-you for all the goodies.
