The Police Prepare to Dance, but the K-9 Dog Steals the Limelight

In an intriguing video that went viral on social media just before the onset of the pandemic in the United States, a troupe of law enforcement officers is seen assembled in front of the camera. They seem to be geared up to show off their dance moves and they deliver a spectacular performance, but things take an unexpected turn when the K-9 dog steals the show with its incredible dance routine.

During the summer of 2019, a dance challenge dubbed “The Git Up” took the world by storm. The challenge was originated by Blanco Brown, whose debut video racked up a jaw-dropping 43 million views in mere months. To fuel the frenzy, he even posted a tutorial video to demonstrate the steps involved in the dance so that people could replicate the moves and upload their own clips on popular video-sharing platforms such as YouTube and other social media sites.

As Blanco Brown’s video made the dance moves easy to learn, countless people began to show off their newly acquired dancing skills in front of the camera. In a matter of months, The Git Up challenge was taken up by groups all over the country, but it garnered particular attention among hospital and firehouse staff members. Interestingly, it also gained a lot of traction in at least one police department, as evidenced by the appearance of the now-infamous video.
